Size: Up to 10 mm long
Description: Flies are insects that have three main body parts: the head, thorax, and abdomen. They have two eyes made up of many smaller eyes, two antennae for sensing, and various mouthparts for eating. They also have two wings which help them fly, and three pairs of legs for walking. Baby flies (called larvae) are very small, white or cream-colored, and don’t have any legs. They look kind of like worms.
